General Car Rental Information

The minimum age for renting a vehicle is 21 years and the driver must have a valid driving license (B Class) for 1 year.

The renter and all drivers must have a valid driving license which must be presented at the time of rental.

Only authorized and contracted drivers are allowed to drive the rented vehicle.

General Terms of Car Rental

1. The duration of the lease is fixed. The Lessee is obliged to return the vehicle to the agreed location at the agreed time.
2. The speed limit on the main street is up to 70 km/h and on the other roads is up to 40 km/h.
3. The renter is obliged to follow the Road Traffic Code (use of seat belt, respect for other vehicles and pedestrians on the road).
4. The driver bears the cost of any fines issued by the competent authorities during the rental of the vehicle.
5. The cost of fuel is the sole responsibility of the Lessee. He is obliged upon delivery of the vehicle to have the tank filled with the corresponding fuel content of the vehicle when he received it. Otherwise, he shall be charged the amount of the fuel consumed.
6. In case of returning the vehicle with extra fuel, no money will be refunded.
7. Mastichari.net is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings inside the vehicle.
8. It is prohibited to use the vehicle for illegal acts (drug transportation, theft, illegal speeding, safari, off-road driving, driving on sand (salt pans), drifting. In any case, Mastichari.net has the right to terminate the rental and collect the vehicle without prior notice.
9. It is forbidden to enter the vehicle with dirty or wet clothing (swimwear) and the consumption of food and drinks. The interior of the car must be returned to its original condition. Otherwise, the Lessee is obliged to bear the cost of biological cleaning [50 €] for the interior of the vehicle.
10. It is forbidden to transfer the vehicle to another island without the consent of Mastichari.net.
11. The Lessee is obliged to immediately inform Mastichari.net of any damage that may occur to the vehicles during the rental period. If late notification of damage to the vehicle is made, Mastichari.net shall not be liable and shall not be obliged to repair the damage or replace the vehicle.
12. The Lessee bears the cost of any damage to the underbody, wheels and tires of the vehicle. Except in cases where the damage is caused by a traffic accident or the Lessee has paid the extra insurance (5€/day).
13. The destruction or loss of parts and accessories due to misuse and the loss or destruction of the vehicle's key are the responsibility of the Lessee and he/she must replace them with items of equal value or pay the current price respectively.
14. Unnecessary use of the Road Service in case the vehicle is not supplied with sufficient fuel will be charged. (Road Service: 30 € and the value of the fuel). In the case of being stuck on a beach / Salt Pans / Cavo Paradiso, the Road Service will be charged 150 €.
15. In case of an accident, the driver is obliged to immediately inform Mastichari.net and the police and collect any information about the accident (photos, eyewitnesses, details of the vehicle involved, etc.)
